The Richgos Floral Embroidered Bag is a wearable art piece that elevates traditional embroidery craftsmanship to the level of luxury accessory design, creating a bag that is as visually captivating as the finest needlework found in museum textile collections worldwide. The base material is smooth full-grain leather in a deep ivory or jet black colorway, providing a neutral canvas against which the hand-stitched floral embroidery becomes the undisputed focal point of the entire design. The embroidery design, a cascading arrangement of botanical motifs including roses, peonies, wildflowers, stems, and trailing leaves, was created by the Richgos art director in collaboration with a master embroiderer whose family has practiced the craft for four generations. Each bag requires approximately fourteen hours of embroidery work using silk threads imported from artisan producers, creating a density and sheen of stitching that shifts visually with light and viewing angle in a truly breathtaking way. The embroidered panel covers the full front face of the bag and extends partially around both sides, creating a three-dimensional textile effect that stands in beautiful contrast to the smooth leather of the bag’s sides and back panel. The structured body maintains the embroidery’s shape without compression or distortion under normal carrying conditions throughout the day. A top zipper closure, lined interior with two pockets, and a detachable shoulder strap complete the functional design elements. The Richgos Floral Embroidered Bag is produced in extremely limited quantities due to the intensive handcraft involved, and each piece is numbered and accompanied by a certificate noting the artisan’s name.
